Used – Dependable Condition – Fully Tested & Operational
This commercial rapid-cook oven has been professionally inspected and tested to confirm heating, microwave-assist, blower, control-panel, timer, display, and door operation.
The exterior shows visible scratches, scuffs, finish wear, surface discoloration, abrasions, and prior-use marks consistent with commercial kitchen service. The matte-chrome front panel has pronounced cosmetic wear, and the lower door area shows scratches and rubbed surfaces.
The keypad, digital display, door handle, adjustable support legs, power cord, and NEMA plug appear complete. The cooking chamber was not photographed, so buyers should inspect its exact cosmetic condition before purchase.

Description
The TurboChef Sota i1 is a compact commercial rapid-cook oven engineered to combine high-speed vertically recirculated impingement air with top-launched microwave energy.
The coordinated cooking system circulates heated air above and below the food while microwave energy assists with rapid internal heating. This combination allows restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, bakeries, hotels, concession operations, and institutional kitchens to prepare compatible menu items significantly faster than with conventional cooking equipment.
An internal stirrer helps distribute microwave energy and impinged air evenly throughout the cooking chamber. Independently controlled blower motors allow the oven to deliver product-specific airflow for consistent browning, crisping, heating, and finishing.
The unit includes an integral recirculating catalytic converter and additional vent catalyst designed to reduce grease, smoke, and odor emissions. This allows approved ventless installation for qualifying menu items, subject to local codes and approval by the authority having jurisdiction.
The legacy push-button control panel provides access to programmable cooking recipes, time settings, temperature settings, microwave levels, and airflow profiles. TurboChef’s smart-menu system can store up to 256 recipes, helping operators reproduce consistent results with limited employee training.
TurboChef describes the Sota as a compact oven that provides rapid cooking performance while requiring less space and energy than larger commercial cooking systems. TurboChef Sota i1 official product page: https://turbochef.com/series/sota-i1-turbochef/

Ventless Operation
The Sota i1 includes an integral catalytic system designed to reduce smoke, grease-laden vapor, and odors.
TurboChef documentation identifies this platform as UL KNLZ listed for ventless operation. During the documented eight-hour EPA 202 test using pepperoni pizzas, the oven produced emissions below the applicable ventless threshold.
Ventless approval does not automatically permit every food product or every installation.
Foods classified as fatty raw proteins are excluded from the general ventless certification. Examples include:
Bone-in skin-on chicken
Raw hamburger meat
Raw bacon
Raw sausage
Steaks
Other high-fat raw animal proteins
Cooking these products may require an approved ventilation hood. Final installation and menu approval remain subject to local fire, health, mechanical, and building codes and the authority having jurisdiction.
Certifications
