The AAF Flanders PRE-PLEAT 40 LPD is a commercial-grade pleated air filter engineered for low initial pressure drop, high dust-holding capacity, and dependable mechanical particle filtration.

The PRE-PLEAT 40 LPD series uses 100% synthetic non-woven filter media arranged in a V-pleat configuration. The media is supported by expanded metal to help maintain pleat stability and reduce flutter during operation.

Unlike filters that depend primarily on an electrostatic charge, the PRE-PLEAT 40 LPD uses mechanical particle capture to maintain its filtration characteristics throughout service. Manufacturer literature identifies the series as maintaining a mechanical MERV 8 / MERV 8A rating under ASHRAE Standard 52.2.
