Used – Good Condition – Fully Tested & Operational

This commercial slicer has been professionally inspected and tested to confirm proper operation. The 1/2 HP knife motor runs correctly, the manual carriage travels smoothly, the slice-thickness control adjusts properly, and the built-in sharpening assembly is present and functional.

The anodized-aluminum body, stainless steel carriage, knife cover, and food-contact surfaces show scratches, discoloration, staining, oxidation, and other cosmetic signs consistent with previous commercial use. The identification plate is worn and partly faded, but the Hobart brand and model information remain identifiable.

The unit should be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before being returned to foodservice operation. Its cosmetic wear does not affect its intended commercial slicing performance.

Description

The Hobart 2812 is a heavy-duty manual commercial slicer engineered for accurate, repeatable slicing of meats, cheeses, deli products, and other suitable foods in demanding foodservice environments.

This machine uses a 12-inch CleanCut™ stainless steel knife, a powerful 1/2 HP knife-drive motor, and a positive-angle manual carriage that helps products feed consistently toward the blade. The carriage provides approximately 12 1/2 inches of travel and accepts products up to approximately 12 inches wide or 7 1/2 inches in diameter.

The gauge plate allows slice thickness to be adjusted continuously from a closed position up to approximately 1 inch. Its manual operation gives the operator direct control over every slicing stroke, making it suitable for delicatessens, butcher shops, grocery stores, sandwich shops, restaurants, cafeterias, catering kitchens, hotels, and institutional foodservice operations.
